This month we were lucky to have our meeting hosted by the new LLLReptile Store in Oceanside.  Loren, the owner of LLLReptile was kind enough to share a presentation on his herping trip to Tanzania as well as give a lesson to our members in how to sex a snake using the probe method. The Reptile Super Show in January 2013 was super busy as always.  We had huge crowds flocking to take pictures with our giant iguana “Baby” and the 18ft Reticulated Python was a big attraction as well! Not to mention a special Happy Birthday for our Vice President Mark!

The Annual Buddy Walk for the Down Syndrome Association of Orange County is a fundraiser that is near and dear to our hearts.  As many of you know, our President Jason has a 5 year old son, Talan, who has Down Syndrome.  So we work very close with the DSAOC to give back to that cause.  We participate in the annual Buddy walk both as supporters of Team Tag Along with Talan and to give all the kids there the opportunity to get up close and...

The SCHA&R is always will to help kick off the year’s annual Popcorn sale for the Boy Scouts of America. This year we had a small booth but a lot of interest in all the animals.  We look forward to working with the Boy Scouts to educate individual troops as well as the public at their fundraising events on reptile facts and care.

As always, the Pomona Super Show was jam packed full of people.  The photo booth was rockin and the big kids came out to play!
